Or, you can make up your own using brass fittings from a hardware store, getting rid of the original cast manifold completely. If they are cast, thats a problem, though if they bent and didnt break, presumably they can be straighted. Now I see it. Then using air tools pressure dropped well below the 120psi kick in pressure, but the motor never came on again. The wrong check valve was sent to me so will send back. Four hundredths isnt a lot but its definitely enough to prevent this thing from threading up. Be good for folks know what model of compressor, Julian, and what about it makes you feel that way. I also notice that despite storing the compressor at basically full pressure (and no hose attached), when I go to use it days/weeks later, the tank pressure has typically leaked down considerably, to around 50-80 PSI. Best I can suggest is if you can get one of the bolts then visit an industrial hardware outfit and ask them to identify the thread and supply another like it, though maybe take it up a notch in terms of bolt strength. Ive looked the part number up and it always says the item is obsolete. It has basically been used to inflate tires. There is no airline coming off the compressor-to-tank run. Or, rebuild the manifold using standard brass fittings and use a readily available and low cost general purpose regulator in place of this piece of junk. I have the exact same problem and cant find a replacement knob or regulator. If I was in this situation, Id be buying a new compressor, one comparable one is around $170, quite a bit less than just the pump and motor. Id be looking at the cylinder / piston too just to see whats what inside. Also, if on its side, the tank drain will be in the wrong place. From the pictures I have found, I suspect the pressure switch is what I call a mini-switch and installs right into the tank. Lowes does not own Kobalt although only Lowes sells Kobalt.
