gurney's newport spa packages

I stayed in room 505! Avoid room 407 and Tiffany Walker unless you like roof views and a ruined vacation. The carpet lips where they meet tile or wood are poorly executed and potentially dangerous. Salmon dish was incredible. They even have a shuttle if you want one. Good food, good drinks trendy atmosphere, worth the trip. We will be back for sure! The table in the middle needed to be wiped and the carpet BADLY needed a vacuuming. Beware. We would have been better off staying at a local motel than this place they call a resort. Since we were exhausted from our day of travel and had already booked different accommodations for the next two days, we did not attempt to bring up the issues with the hotel staff for assistance, so I cannot speak to customer service on that front and will give them the benefit of the doubt that they would have done their best to make things right. Solo estuvimos en la pista de hielo sper genial, la vista lo mximo, el restaurante en el exterior super nice. Enchanting place to visit! The staff was unbelievable. The suites were considerably more expensive. Great trip!. The fish was well seasoned and crispy. The setup inside the space, however, was probably not attributable to the venue itself; though the reorganization still would not have alleviated the cramped conditions much. And all of that is not to mention the outdated and tired dcor and small (cramped) and dark guestrooms. Great location, wonderful staff, stunning views, Had drinks at the bar, great vibe. better else where. I/we will not be back. As far as dining goes you cannot eat in the hotel. There is a nice outdoor walking path and you can visit the goats. The massage at the spa was great though! My grandkids have so much fun ???? We even ordered an extra side of risotto to have with the branzino. They have areas around the fire pit that you could hang out and get some drinks. We awoke to the same sounds the next morning AND the 3rd day as well. I would highly recommend! Psalms 69:34 Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and everything that moves in them. It was not worth the cost! (No, there was not a do not disturb sign on the door.) The facilities (not the rooms) and the food are solid. Traveling around the world and staying at different luxurious hotels, I can easily say that there are much more luxurious hotels out there with exceptional services at equivalent prices. The bellmen and front desk staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Clean, great service, wonderful pool & on-site dining. 10+++, Phenomenal view, albeit I'm from Illinois so I'm easily impressed, room very nice. A one night stay turned in to week. Wat a pleasure it is to live next to this hotel. We went just for lunch not overnight. The check out process was extremely frustrating and they are withholding funds from my account even though the room was paid in full before arrival. If you dont mind waiting half an hour or longer for food, food orders that are incorrect or never arrive, having to ask for silverware, water, coffee and basics like napkins, then stay at Guerneys. You get what you expect for the price for a resort on the water. They tried to double charge me for parkingthe attendant charged $20 then they added $35 to the room. Amazing stay with great staff!!! The bell girl was very nice and helpful, but as I was in such a big rush, her hanging all the clothing in the closet in the bathroom was impeding my already clearly zero time. The reduced block rate for our rooms was roughly $289.00, totaling over $350.00 per room, per night, inclusive of fees, with a 2-night minimum. This doesn't include any continental breakfast or anything extra. Lots of activities to do for the family to keep everyone having fun even in the down season. Naturally, running around doing a million things. Now I could have absolutely gone down the hall to the ice machine and filled the bucket to keep the wine cold, but really? I called the front desk at 7:45 (because they told me it would arrive between 5p-7p) and the front desk told me to call room service. Fantastic experience, the ballroom was immaculate! To touch on the pool again, upon check-in we had asked about the pool and if we needed to make a reservation due to the website stating there was limited capacity. A nice location right in the center of the bay. Food in the lounge is excellent, drinks were good too. Would highly suggest! I stayed two nights and had to eat in my room each night because the hotel restaurants were overbooked. Why not tell tour guests to reserve early once they book a room? This is why I would not expect good service in the hotel due to my encounter at the spa. Great restaurant. Thank you Charles. Extremely friendly and courteous staff. Upon checkout I had to dispute the charge for the wine on our bill which was supposed to be included in our package. Working on Thanksgiving is never fun but we appreciate your being here so we could enjoy. But in reality its closer to a Chucky Cheese or low end Disney report. Great scenery. While most of their employees express true concern, but they are helpless to rectify the pervasive problem. Sloan and Matt were also extremely professional and amazing bell boys, who also provided that personalized service and made us feel extremely special on our wedding weekend. So 3:30 in the morning Im going to try to find a different hotel with a tired wife. We enjoyed the grounds. a hotel that does less to placate the care of its guests. I placed a room service order online which got lost when I asked about it a different woman at the front desk was so rude to me to the point that it made me feel upset seeing as I hadnt done anything wrong and was very gracious and understanding. The food is also on the pricier side and nothing you can't get at another restaurant with a waterview for a more reasonable price. Anyhow, wedding was beautiful! This is quite alarming given whats going on. No shaving cream. No desire to return. There was a bar right next to the chili room where you could grab a $5 beer and get some space for whatever digestive needs you may have. Not worth the money. I would say no. We were there for a company function in the winter. Worth about $300 at best. Friendly, helpful greeting. Don't bother eating here. Expansive deck off the lobby with nice fire pits that we really enjoyed! The second try for the steak was crusty almost charred on the outside oozing with visible butter and overcooked, the roasted cauliflower was good, my wife's salad was good, but the asparagus was inconsistent and the dessert was not close to the description. Although we had a wonderful time with everyone else, that 1 guy ruined it for us. Beyond that, the property is obscenely overpriced for the condition it's in, and it's nothing like the pictures on the website. This place is a joke. With the package we were to receive: a room upgrade (if available), late checkout, a bottle of rose the evening of arrival and a $60 breakfast credit. Even after I complained nobody cared. I hosted 20 colleagues for a three day meeting and the hotel and staff did an exceptional job of accommodating all our needs. Water is $4. The view from our room was AMAZING! The best part is that the sun sets right behind the bridge. It also looked like someone exploded a Coca Cola.. there was a brown dried substance dripping from a few of the walls. The towels were scratchy and my brother in law almost used a folded towel that looked like a crime scene had been cleaned with it (disgusting and unacceptable). I got New England clam chowder which wasn't good at all. Toilets sound like a tornado is ripping through the room and had no ventilation fan. Prices are out of proportion to the services provided. I was told we could use the breakfast credit on room service but "to make sure room service knew" we had a breakfast credit. so friendly and definitely help make the experience that much more enjoyable! After which I was made to feel uncomfortable. Upon checking in the girl at the front desk was extremely sweet. And not to sound too particular, but please evaluate the dresser door knobs. 2. Best views of the Newport Bridge & Narragansett Bay! I cant drink alcohol, and even if I bought the most expensive item (~$34 lobster roll) it still would not have been enough to allow me to sit outdoors. Dingy rooms, broken elevator, horrible communication with staff. Picturesque and gorgeous views. Called the front desk for a few extra pillows one of the nights and they refused. After the brief and disappointing self-guided tour we decided it best to crack a bottle of wine to drown our sorrows, so we searched for the bottle opener - no where to be found. Staff was pleasant. The beds are also very comfortable. That is not a problem only Guerneys has. We walked through the hotel lobby and outdoor igloos to get to the rink. They opened their doors to the public during a gas outage that affected the whole city. The ceiling bath vent was disgusting and needs to be cleaned and they parched the ceiling and only painted to the shower area and just stopped. All around the experience was amazing and we will likely stay for anniversaries to come!! Free BMW rentals however are a nice perk. She was funny, friendly and went above and beyond. Overall very disappointing, and the hotel doesnt do the surrounding town justice. I was assured x2 that they would come. The hot lobster roll is better than the cold roll in my opinion but both were good. When we went to skate, the rink was closed off for the zamboni. Very expensive! Resort itself was on a scenic Island. I see this hotel for business rather than pleasure. We visited Gurney's Newport for a bachelorette party. Had a bad attitude and I tried to ask a question but she wouldn't let me finish. Beautifully maintained resort inside and out with amazing views. At a luxury resort you receive your chilled wine in a bucket! No pad. I had one of the best lunches here, everything was fresh and portion was perfect, I recommend the wedge salad with chicken!!! The grounds and the rooms were fine but not above average. Food was decent but not great for how pricey it is. When we go to the lobby, we found construction workers laying carpet in the hallways. They are supposed to be exclusive to people staying at the hotel but they don't check or ask anyone for verification so anyone can get a table with a firepit. They were cleaning the locker rooms and turned off the lights before we could even walk out to pay. The pool is perfectly heated, and even with the pandemic, they do well balancing access and safety. Definitely try their desserts. The resort is situated in a perfect spot on the water. 2. They sent a bell boy to assist moving our stuff and even the bell boy was shocked to hear the dog barking down the hallway before even getting to the room. Kohl at the front desk is the most professinal and polite front desk attendant I have ever met and was super helpful, and remembered who we were and details about us all weekend, providing that personalized touch. It all looks like something out of 1970. Even though it was a little hectic with all the guests running inside before the storm hit, She personally made sure that our order came to us. The absolute most disappointing experience at a so called luxury resort. Staff is A+. The views are why you come here. We should left but didnt want to take away time from our other plans, Tons of nice places to hit at rhode island. We are already planning for our next luncheon!!! Bait and switch. Should have been spotless especially during Covid. Hot chocolate bar a hit. Terrible for the animal and disgusting for guests. The place is a great place for familys with a super outside setting areas. Pool is beautiful and over looks the bay. I told them the staff and house keeping did a great job but the rooms need major updating. Just go somewhere else. The main reason we go on vacation is to relax by the pool, and somehow that turned into being badgered. I was dancing in my chair it was so good. What a great staff and wonderful atmosphere. Our room felt like it was in the slums.. we had to walk so far and it felt like such an old part of the hotel. However 5he facilities need significant renovation as they are tired and dated. All the time !! (Translated by Google) Outdoors.Contact with nature. The rooms are nice and tidy, and every room has a very nice view of the surroundings. The facility is aging and not being taken care of. Wish we had stayed at the Marriott right next door. Terrible customer service. So there we were with two desserts, one ordered and charged for and one we didn't want that they gave us for free why not comp the desert we wanted and ordered?!? Service fabulous. The entire staff was so friendly, EXCEPT FRONT DESK. Stayed for 3 nights for a wedding, I have stayed at many fine and hotels and this is NOT one of them. Just checked in last night and the room is clean, fully stocked, and the view of the bay and bridge from the balcony is simply unbeatable. Jets turned off in Jacuzzi. Views are some of the best in Newport. Naturally I'm freaking out. There was a small gift store where you could get sunglasses or sweatshirts. Beautiful spot for a sunset. It was a quick 10 minute walk from Thames St. And the food was delicious! Staff is friendly, rooms are great. Take notice and be more observant of your customers.
