Terry was a joy to work with and I know the wedding day would not have gone as smoothly without her help. It rained all morning and afternoon before our wedding but there are so many places to take pictures at the hotel it didn't matter. Terry is the best! The crab ale was also great for any crab lovers this is crab overload the best crab cake I have ever had. I can't wrap this up without mentioning the food. When looking for a wedding venue in Cape May, we knew without even having to think about it that the Chalfonte Hotel would be absolutely perfect. The bartenders and waiters/waitresses were excellent throughout the whole cocktail hour/ reception and the food and drinks were amazing! The spinach salad was good but had too much dressing . I live abroad and had to schedule appointments around my trips to the States in the months leading up to the wedding. We went heavy on the premium passed apps (scallops and crab cakes were a hit, and also did the mashed potato bar and antipasto). It has tons of good character, so be prepared to go with the flow. - The balcony on the second floor makes a great spot for wedding couple pictures. Cape May has been my vacation destination for 25 years and this is my second marriage. She is detailed and organized and stayed on top of us the entire time to make sure we had everything covered.
